Good For Her is Toronto's cozy, comfortable place where women and their admirers can find a variety of high quality sex toys, books, DVDs, workshops, great advice and much more.
The Good For Her Philosophy
Women and marginalized communities need access to information and products that are not always easy to find or easy to talk about. Both online and within our store in Toronto, we try to make it easy for you to learn and engage with our knowledgeable staff, or explore on your own.
We believe that there is nothing shameful about an open, honest dialogue about sex and sexuality. Everyone deserves to explore their own sexuality in a safe and comfortable environment, and we hope that Good For Her can help facilitate that in your own life.
If you have questions, please feel free to talk directly to a staff person, or use our handy contact us form. Remember, there are few questions we have not heard yet! Also be sure to check out our Advice Column full of all kinds of questions and answers, as well as our toy guide, where you’ll learn many fascinating facts about the wonderful world of sex toys.
About our store
Founder Carlyle Jansen got her start when she gave an impromptu sex toys seminar at her sister’s bridal shower—a United Church Minister—in 1995. Carlyle had just recently learned how to orgasm and her sister's friends were so thrilled with Carlyle’s ease in sharing her knowledge that they requested more workshops.
Over time doing workshops at the YMCA, women said that they wanted a comfortable place where they could purchase the toys Carlyle was speaking about, and they wanted more workshops. Thus Good For Her was born.
We've been around for 17 years now, and Good For Her still strives to carry the highest quality products that celebrate women's sexuality. This means excellent materials that won’t harm your body, and an approach to sex that gives you the ability to make the best decisions possible for yourself. We buy locally when possible, and encourage environmentally responsible products and packaging from our suppliers.
Women and Trans only Hours
We know that it takes a lot of courage for many women and trans people to simply walk into our store door, so we do our best to make our space feel welcoming and positive. For this reason, Good For Her offers women and trans only hours for those who feel more comfortable in an environment that is created especially with them in mind. We encourage women and trans people of all genders to make use of this time.

Regular store hours:

Sunday 12-2 (women and trans* people only)
